These kinds of video trends are known as middle child syndrome. It refers to the belief that middle children tend to be ignored and almost completely forgotten. Then is it a real thing? Does it affect their personality in their adulthood? Is it possible to consider it as a piece of bad luck? What is the best advice we can take from parent and second child perspectives?

    When it comes to child development, the one party who is often considered the most influential is the parents. The statement is not wrong, but it is wiser to take into account other parties, one of which is the government. Whether we realize it or not, the government has a significant role in the development of children, starting from guaranteeing their legal rights, ensuring the welfare of children, to creating ideal conditions for child development. Questions arise regarding this case. What is the role of government on children? What system of government is best for child development? What efforts should be made by the government to maximize child development?

    However, given the fact that not every country has the same system of government, discussion about the impact of each system on children or the best system for child development become inevitable. Of course, all systems have their effects, but the comparison between two opposing systems, such as communism and capitalism, is interesting to discuss.

    Furthermore, on this occasion, we will explore more deeply related to the role of government in child development, starting from its relationship, comparison of government systems, and policy recommendations for the government.

    As the world changes, technology becomes more involved in our life. Dozens of people from across ages are using social media for a good purpose, at first. Life has indeed become a lot easier with the “tools” that we stare at every day, but we have become more consumed and then snap! We realize that we can’t live without it. Moreover, the younger generation has started using this at a very little age, is that normal or we are the ones that normalized it?

    The anxiety, confusedness, fear of missing out, and all of the negativity can consume us as we use our social media more often. Seems not like a big problem, but it changes our minds and heart, both physically and mentally. A documentary called “The Social Dilemma” has also highlighted this kind of risk, a danger to the newer generation if we keep repeating the same thing. Then, what is the truth behind this digital age? How did it become a threat and what we can do now?

    As the world faces a complex problem, there are the rise of children speaking up in public, sharing their thoughts, journey, and even advising for a better world where they live. They start as an individual or create a community to handle the issues. Their popularity created further controversies among adults. Some people give them applause and compliment them for their braveness and care on the complex issues happening in the world, yet others underestimate and question the capacity of a child.

    A child is seen as dependent and vulnerable, thus making them have no right to speak up for themselves due to the stigma. However, the study in this article is trying to open our eyes to the importance of letting a child’s voices be heard and empowering them to speak up.
